Why This Tour Is Different

Most snorkeling tours in Phu Quoc follow fixed routes and focus on moving large groups between popular stops.

We take a different approach.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions about private snorkeling tours, coral reefs, marine life, and snorkeling conditions in South Phu Quoc and the An Thoi Archipelago.

Why is this tour different from regular snorkeling tours in Phu Quoc?

Most snorkeling tours in Phu Quoc follow fixed routes and focus on transporting large groups between popular islands.

This experience is different. The speedboat is private, the itinerary remains flexible, and your guide enters the water with you throughout the snorkeling sessions. We select reef locations based on sea conditions and focus on coral reefs, marine life, and the overall quality of the snorkeling experience rather than the number of stops.

Which reef is the best in South Phu Quoc?

There is no single "best" reef every day.

For coral diversity and overall reef health, Hon Kim Quy is often one of our top choices. Bat Reef is excellent for larger coral formations and marine life, while Hon Gam Ghi and Hon Buom can offer fantastic conditions for beginners and families.

Depending on sea conditions, we may also visit other reef systems around the An Thoi Archipelago, including Jungle Reef, North-East Reef, Hon Vang, Hon Kho, Hon Dam, and reef areas around Hon May Rut.

The best snorkeling location changes from day to day and depends on visibility, currents, wind direction, wave conditions, and guest experience level. Rather than following a fixed route, we select the locations that offer the best possible snorkeling conditions on the day of your trip.

Is this tour suitable for serious snorkelers?

Yes.

While beginners are welcome, this tour is also designed for guests who want more than a quick snorkeling stop. We regularly visit deeper reef areas, healthy coral gardens, sea anemone fields, and lesser-known locations that are often missed by standard island-hopping tours.

The private format allows us to spend more time where the snorkeling is at its best.

Which islands do we visit during the snorkeling trip?

Depending on sea conditions, we commonly visit reefs around Hon Kim Quy, Hon Gam Ghi, Hon Buom, Hon Tram, Hon Mong Tay, and Hon May Rut in the An Thoi Archipelago.

What marine life can we see while snorkeling in Phu Quoc?

Guests often see clownfish, parrotfish, butterflyfish, damselfish, sea anemones, giant clams, hard corals, and soft coral gardens. Marine life changes daily depending on conditions.

Is snorkeling in Phu Quoc good all year round?

Yes, but conditions vary. Reef locations are selected daily based on visibility, currents, waves, and weather conditions to provide the best possible snorkeling experience.

Do I need to know how to swim?

Not necessarily. Many beginners and non-swimmers join the experience using life jackets and guide assistance in shallow reef areas.

Is underwater video included?

Yes. Underwater footage is filmed during the tour using DJI Action 5 and GoPro cameras and edited into a cinematic highlight video.

How long is the private snorkeling tour?

The experience is flexible and usually lasts around 8 hours including hotel pickup, speedboat transfers, snorkeling sessions, beach stops, and relaxation time.

What makes this snorkeling tour different from standard island hopping tours?

This experience focuses primarily on coral reefs, marine life, and guided snorkeling rather than crowded tourist stops or fast island hopping schedules.

Can families with children join the tour?

Yes. The tour is suitable for families with children, couples, and travelers looking for a calmer and more personal snorkeling experience in South Phu Quoc.
